SHE CALLED HER OWN GOVERNOR'S BUDGET "CAPITULATION" — AND WHIPPED VOTES AGAINST IT On July 2–3, 2025, the bipartisan state budget negotiated between Governor Evers and Republican leaders came to the floor. THE "FORMER SMALL BUSINESS OWNER": THE RESTAURANT CLOSED, THE DEBT WENT TO COURT, THE BIO GOT AN ADJECTIVE Hong's 2020 candidacy ran on Morris Ramen — "I am in this district every day working to make sure that Morris Ramen is more than just a restaurant" ([Cap Times, July 24, 2020](https://captimes.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/assembly-candidate-francesca-hong-doesnt-live-in-the-76th-district-plans-to-move-there/article_5e2d6e8d-4841-5606-a43b-7de6f1550f4b.html)) — a line she gave the Cap Times because, eighteen days before her primary, she **did not live in the district she was running to represent**.
