Ben Davis, born May 24, 1977, is a Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. He has held the District 6A seat since 2023.[^1] The district lies in northern Minnesota. It takes in the city of Grand Rapids and portions of Cass, Crow Wing and Itasca Counties.[^1]
Davis won the seat in the 2022 election. The seat was open after redistricting, and John Poston, a Republican who had served three terms, did not run again.[^1]
## Minnesota House of Representatives
Davis's 2022 campaign was his first run for the House. He contested an open seat created by redistricting and Poston's retirement.[^1]
Davis was among those who called for an audit of the 2020 election results in Crow Wing County. By his account, the purpose was to confirm that election laws had been followed and that no fraud had taken place.[^1] The record does not establish whether that audit took place or what it found.[^1]
His committee assignments are Children and Families Finance and Policy, Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, and Elections Finance and Policy.[^1]
## Personal life
Davis and his wife, Dawn, have six children and live in Merrifield, Minnesota.[^1] He serves as a pastor at Remnant Ministry Center, a nondenominational congregation in Brainerd.[^1]
