## Minnesota House of Representatives
In 2018 Xiong was elected in House District 67B, which covers the lower east side of St. Paul.[^2] Sheldon Johnson had represented the district for 18 years before retiring.[^2] Xiong won the DFL endorsement for the seat on the third round of balloting. The same revision lists Xiong as chair of the Workforce Development Finance and Policy Committee. It also lists him as a member of the Capital Investment and Economic Development Finance and Policy committees.[^2] These assignments are stated as of that revision's retrieval date.[^2]
## Personal life
