# Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence
Minnesota State University, Mankato — **automation, precision machining, and Industry 4.0**. One of the eight Minnesota State Centers of Excellence, run through both spines: [[PORTAL_Acoustics]] and [[PORTAL_WT!Thury_Hydrodynamics_Compendium]], indexed by [[PORTAL_Centers_of_Excellence]].
## Acoustics
The spindle sings its condition: chatter, ultrasonic testing, and acoustic emission are quality control by ear.

<p class="wt-pending"><strong>Microsim staged, not yet on the CDN.</strong> <code>Moiré_pattern.html</code> is built and deploy-ready in <code>Microsims for Dissemination/</code>, but the Netlify project still serves the geometry+spintronics set only. The player is disabled until the deploy lands; the explanatory text below is unchanged.</p>

**`Moiré_pattern` (three.js).** Interference made visible — the moiré sim is metrology's acoustics: beats between gratings, read as error maps.
### Microsims — p5.js

**Mechanical wave (p5.js).** Transverse and longitudinal side by side: one set of sliders drives the same y(x,t)=A·sin(kx−ωt) through both canonical mechanical-wave families at once. (Audio room gallery, 21 shipped.)
## Hydrodynamics
Coolant loops, hydraulic presses, and ISO 1219 sign language: manufacturing is applied fluid power.

**`Porous_medium` (three.js).** Flow through a packed bed — filtration, sintering, and casting infiltration in one 3-D parcel chase.
