# IT Center of Excellence
Metropolitan State University — **software, networking, data, and cybersecurity**. One of the eight Minnesota State Centers of Excellence, run through both spines: PORTAL_Acoustics and PORTAL_WT!Thury_Hydrodynamics_Compendium, indexed by PORTAL_Centers_of_Excellence.
## Acoustics
Signals are the sector's raw material: sampling, codecs, and rooms that answer when spoken to — DSP is applied acoustics.
### Microsims — three.js first
<!-- MICROSIM:PENDING_DEPLOY:BEGIN v1.7 g08 — embed target is not on the CDN; restore with g08 --undeploy-clear -->
<p class="wt-pending"><strong>Microsim staged, not yet on the CDN.</strong> <code>Deep_inelastic_scattering.html</code> is built and deploy-ready in <code>Microsims for Dissemination/</code>, but the Netlify project still serves the geometry+spintronics set only. The player is disabled until the deploy lands; the explanatory text below is unchanged.</p>

**`Deep_inelastic_scattering` (three.js).** Probing structure with waves — scattering as the original packet inspection, in 3-D.
### Microsims — p5.js

**Wave (p5.js).** The wave concept anatomized: a spatial snapshot brackets one wavelength and the amplitude, with a time view beneath — the same sinusoid, read two ways. (Audio room gallery, 21 shipped.)
## Hydrodynamics
Traffic flows, queues pool, and data centers run on literal cooling loops: the fluid analogy is load-bearing.

**`Geophysical_fluid_dynamics` (three.js).** Planet-scale circulation — the reference picture for global traffic and its jet streams.
